Guidelines for filming or reporting on a University campus or location

The ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é welcomes news organizations to its campuses, and University Marketing and Communications is happy to assist media members who are seeking access to individuals and spaces. ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é is, however, a private university and private property. Therefore, members of the media or film crews wishing to be on campus for the purposes of reporting or filming must receive permission from University Marketing and Communications.

This policy does not cover access to campus for non-news photography or audio/video recording, including documentary filming, film projects, and commercials. These activities require additional permissions from University Marketing and Communications, including location agreements and proof of insurance coverage acceptable to the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é.

Drone usage

Due to the University’s close proximity to Frederick Douglass International Airport and FAA regulations, only University Marketing and Communications is permitted to operate drones on the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é’s campuses.
